Configure statuses and tags

Adapt the workspace workflow and maintain a shared catalog of labels.

Statuses and tags belong to the workspace. Changes are visible to every member and affect every view or issue that uses them.

Default statuses

A new workspace starts with:

  1. Backlog
  2. To Do
  3. Paused
  4. In Progress
  5. In Review
  6. Done
  7. Canceled

The order in settings is also the column order on the board.

Manage statuses

Open the workspace menu, select Settings, then open Statuses.

From here, members can:

  • add a custom status;
  • rename a custom status;
  • place a status in the workflow order; and
  • delete an empty custom status.

Delete a status safely

A status cannot be deleted while it contains issues. Move every issue to another status first, then delete the empty status. Deleting an empty status removes its board column without changing issues in other statuses.

Manage tags

Open Settings, then Tags.

Members can create a tag with a name and color, rename it, or change its color. A tag can also be created while editing an issue; after creation, it is available to other issues in the workspace.

Renaming or recoloring a tag updates its presentation on every issue that uses it.

Delete a tag safely

Deleting a tag is workspace-wide. If issues use the tag, Quadratique asks for confirmation. Confirming removes the tag from the catalog and from every affected issue. It does not delete those issues.
